One of the features that Nvidia’s Shield was announced to have was the ability to stream PC games to it so you can play those game on your Shield. While the short term goal was local streaming from your own PC, the long term goal is to have streaming available no matter where you are as long as you have an internet connection. This would be through Nvidia’s GRID streaming service which we’ve talked about a few times already.

A lot of people have had their eyes on Mad Catz who have promised to build the most powerful Android-based console that would be available when it launches. While the company has been tight lipped over the specs of the console, we did get some hands-on time with a prototype version with prototype hardware during the GameStop Expo this year.
Phonejoy has been making controllers for mobile gamers for a bit now and while their first product saw a little success their second controller is looking like it may pull in a lot more sales. This is partly because the controller will actually slide together when not in use, making it more compact and easier to carry along with you. The other reason could be because it fits right to your phone with the buttons and controls located on the sides of your device instead of how a standard controller is set up.

Ouya has pumped out a new firmware update that addresses a few issues that had come up regarding a few different problems that would cause the system to crash. While this was one main focus for the update another was just improving the overall discoverability of games on the Android-powered game console.
Nvidia unveils their Tegra Note reference device, letting OEMs offer Tegra 4 for as little as $200
Nvidia today finally unveiled their Tegra Note which is a reference device that shows off their Tegra 4 platform. What this does is allow manufacturers to offer the Tegra 4 platform to create 7″ tablets for as little as $200. Basically this means manufacturers can use this tablet as a starting point, enabling them to quickly bring their own branded 7″ tablet to market much more quickly by using this one as the base model.
Gameloft has released an announcement but this is one of those rare ones where it doesn’t pertain to a specific game getting released or one of their titles getting a big content update. Instead this announcement has to do with optimizing their games, or more specifically, optimizing all of their games for devices that use Intel’s Architecture.
There is always one thing we can never have enough of when it comes to our mobile devices and that is storage space. Even with 64GB or storage in your tablet it generally doesn’t take long to fill that sucker up full with music, games, movies and whatever else you enjoy stuff inside your tablet.
Interview with Alex Verrey of Mad Catz: Final Mojo console design, Rooting, Peripherals and more
So during the GameStop Expo we just left the other day we had a chance to do our interview with Mad Catz in person instead of doing it through Skype or email, hence the delay in the interview getting done in the first place. We sat down with Alex Verrey, the Global PR Director for Mad Catz and Nathan Aguilera, Associate Product Manager for Mad Catz to talk about their upcoming Android-based gaming console called Mojo.
Back in July of this year we reported on the news that the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset and the company behind it were strongly considering supporting mobile devices in one way or another. Well it looks as though the update to the SDK for the Oculus Rift developers use to create games will soon be getting an update that brings that mobile support to the platform.
If you follow the news about upcoming or rumored Android devices then you are probably already aware that Nvidia is rumored to be making their own Android tablets. The tablets, which are apparently named Tegra Tab, are also rumored to have both a 7″ version as well as a 10″ size. Well it seems as though one of the rumored tablets isn’t that much of a rumor anymore as it appears to have been benchmarked.
