A couple of weeks ago we talked about Amazon who not only apparently has an Android phone in the works but a few new tablets as well. As it turns out, Amazon is rumored to have up to six new models of Android tablets gearing up for release including a 10″ model.
Not too long ago Crescent Moon Games announced that they would finally be bringing their games over to Android and started it all off with their release of Aralon: Sword and Shadow earlier this month. Their second title, Paper Monsters, is also now available on the Amazon AppStore.
Amazon looks to be gearing up to jump back into the Android hardware battle but this time offering up a few different Kindle Fire 2 models as well as apparently working on an Android phone as well. While the Kindle Fire 2 release is fairly close according to reports, their apparent Android phone might be awhile.
A little piece of good news for you Kindle Fire owners out there in Android land. EA has announced that they have released eight of their games for the Kindle Fire. This multiple title release actually happened on June 13th, 2012 but EA was kind enough to send a rather late press release about the whole thing yesterday. Better late than never right?
ErnCon, Woo Games’ latest release, has been updated as well as being launched on the Amazon App Store. For those of you unfamiliar with ErnCon, this is a multiplayer shoot-em-up (or shump for short) where you can play against other people while also dealing with hostile enemies.
Recently acquired by GREE for $210 million dollars, game developers Funzio have brought their hit free-to-play crime game called Crime City over to the Amazon App Store. Crime City is basically why Funzio got acquired by GREE in the first place.
Amazon has announced that, through the use of their new API, developers can now integrate in-app purchases into their applications and games on the Amazon App Store. Amazon will also be accepting in-app purchases from users on both Android devices in general as well as the Kindle Fire.
Another game we talked about a few days ago was the interesting action strategy game from 4Gency called Node.Hack. Based around a theme of hacking, this combines both puzzle and arcade game mechanics into one title with a bit of a flare for retro game visuals.
The next week or so is going to see a lot of great games being released onto Android. Another interesting game that will be coming our way on March 21st is a game based around hacking called Node.Hack from developers 4gency.
The follow-up to Zeptolab’s rather popular puzzle game called Cut The Rope, the newest addition to the series has been released onto Android called Cut The Rope: Experiments HD which you may remember us talking about in the past. In fact it seems to have taken forever for this game to land on Android since we last talked about it.
