All of Nintendo’s mobile games that are currently in development will be free-to-play titles with optional IAPs coming with them. This was pretty much a given fact back when Nintendo announced their publishing deal with DeNA for five mobile games to launch between now and April 2017.

We have already seen some pretty interesting games getting ported onto Android Wear watches, with most being playable but barely due to the screen size mainly. Still, it is always cool to see games like Half-Life showing up on an Android Wear watch, even if it is a proof-of-concept more than anything else. The latest additions to this sort of thing actually happens to be two emulators, one for Nintendo 64 games and the other being for Playstation Portable titles.
Yesterday we reported on Nintendo and the fact they were going to hold a press conference this morning to do two things. First, the company was going to elaborate on their financials they recently just reported on for their second quarter. Secondly, they were going to debut and talk about their first mobile game.

A lot of people have been eagerly waiting to see what Nintendo will release onto mobile platforms since the announcement of the company’s partnership with DeNA. However, it isn’t confirmed as to whether or not that game is part of their upcoming five titles they plan to release.

When that happened, Niantic Labs actually was removed from being owned by Google, becoming their own true entity. Today the Ingress developer has announced that they have received funding to the tune of $30 million from Google, The Pokemon Company, and Nintendo. It is a pretty interesting mix.

Set to release next year, Pokémon Go is the latest mobile release for that gaming franchise. Within the game, players are looking to go out into the real world to catch, trade, or battle their Pokémon (much like how Ingress works).
Looks like Nintendo is starting to go full swing into their plans to bring some of their franchises to mobile devices soon as the company has posted a new job listing for a Mobile Games Developer position. Thanks to an agreement between Nintendo and DeNA, we will soon be getting some Nintendo franchises to play on our Android devices. Although, if you’ve been following our coverage about the whole partnership, Nintendo hasn’t really revealed what games will be coming to mobile, nor have they mentioned what franchises those will end up being a part of.
Sad news today as Nintendo of Europe has released news of the passing of Nintendo’s Global President, Satoru Iwata at the young age of 55. Mr. Iwata passed away on July 11th, 2015 with the cause of death being a bile duct growth, but that seemed to have not affected his work as up until recently Mr. Iwata had been vocal in how Nintendo would be entering the mobile gaming space.
Malware is nothing new for Android users to deal with, and mobile users in general for that matter. In fact all platforms have their issues with Malware. However there is a new one out there that is currently masquerading as an emulator for Nintendo games. What’s even worse is that it basically makes you pay for it, and then proceeds to steal your data at the same time.
