Skyriders by Inverse Blue swoops onto the Android track

A new game called Skyriders by indie game developer Inverse Blue landed onto Google Play over the past weekend. The game is a blend between the platformer and tunnel-racer genres, where you play as an alien piloting a spacecraft. The game features crazy track layouts to test your skills, and has visceral looking visuals of the cosmos as the backdrop.

Granny Smith gets a little too much air time, ends up in space in 12 new levels

Mediocre Games’ second release onto Android, the cool running platformer called Granny Smith, has been update with a dozen new levels, all featured in the great beyond known as our galaxy. Apparently keeping a thief away from your apples in an inter-planetary type of job these days. You’ll be discovering all sorts of goodies as you skate across different planets in your quest to collect your apples before the thief does. Apples on Mars? True story.

The running platformer with a Tron flare, Polara is now available

There is a new game out on the Google Play store today that is a free-runner platformer but with a Tron flare to it with it’s futuristic visuals. Developed by Hope This Works Games Inc, Polara will have you playing as Agent Lara who is trying to escape from one hell of a security system. There is a rather unique color switching game mechanic in Polara that you’ll need to master if you play on surviving long enough to get through the game.

Hit side-scrolling platformer League of Evil dashes onto Android

Noodlecake Studios recently published their latest release onto the Google Play store which comes in the form of a 2D side-scrolling platformer called League of Evil. Layered with plenty of retro gaming goodness, League of Evil will have players running, wall jumping, flipping and punching their way through over 160 levels in the hopes of confronting the evil scientist and punching him in the face.

Powered by the same Ubisoft engine that Rayman Origins runs on and developed by Pastagames for mobile devices (I’m hungry already), Rayman Jungle Run is the kind of game you immediately appreciate the moment you start playing.
