Square Enix released a new trailer for their upcoming Final Fantasy Tactics S game, which we talked about in April, which is supposed to be a tactical RPG but with social features integrated into it, hence the addition of the ‘S’ to the name. In this new trailer, we get to see the combat that will take place in the game itself.
Over the last few days I’ve been really busy. As soon as I thought I was going to get some time to enjoy a game, what ended up happening is something else turned up that required my attention. There was just no way for me to actually take a decent amount of time to play a game. And here is where Pixel Dungeon came to the rescue.
We’ve written about this game coming to Android a couple of times in the past, mostly regarding it arriving for Nvidia’s Android-powered handheld gaming system called Shield. Well Bohemia Interactive has gone ahead and brought Arma Tactics to Android but it is, of course, for Tegra 3 and Tegra 4 devices only right now.
Yesterday Nvidia announced that their Android-powered handheld gaming system, now official called just ‘Shield’, has gone live for pre-orders to those people who have subscribed to the Shield’s newsletter. Everyone else has to wait until May 20th, 2013 to pre-order a unit. Double Fine has come out today to announce that their Costume Quest game will also be heading to Nvidia’s Shield system as well.
A new full sized RPG is heading our way soon called Tales of Illyria. For those of you who think this name seems familiar, it is and that is because the developers also have Tales of Illyria on Steam’s Greenlight program. However, if you don’t know about this game, Tales of Illyria takes influences from games like Oregon Trail but layers on a lot more RPG elements.
With the original released date for Leviathan: Warships being April 30th, Paradox Interactive happens to be a few days late in bringing their naval action strategy game over to Android. Thankfully we’ve had that rather funny trailer they released recently to tide us over till now.
Back in March we talked about a game called Wizard Ops Tactics that was heading our way soon from Phyken Media. It seems as though the time has finally come to try your hand at being the ultimate wizard commander as Wizard Ops Tactics is now available on Google Play.
The turn-based strategy shooter from Mode 7 called Frozen Synapse, which we’ve talked about back in April, has been confirmed to be coming to Android in the near future. While the game is currently slated for an iOS release in the middle of May, this game will feature cross-platform gameplay across all platforms that it will be launched on and that includes an Android version.
While we are still waiting for Square Enix to catch up on some of their Final Fantasy games that were slated for release onto Android, like Final Fantasy IV, Square Enix has announced a new game called Final Fantasy Tactics S which is a social tactics style of game that is sort of a spin-off of Ivalice Alliance.
