Developer and publisher of a variety of retro style RPG titles on Android, Kemco has a pretty decent sized catalog of games to sift through. Well the company has announced that all over their games on Google Play and Amazon’s AppStore are on sale starting today for $0.99 for a limited time.
Earlier in 2012 we started talking about a rather entertaining game called Eden to GREEEEN from iNiS Corp. which was heading to Tegra-based Android devices. Back then we also got to sit down during GDC 2012 and get some hands-on time with the game and it was certainly quite a fun game even though we only had a short time with it. It also seems that instead of publishing the game themselves, iNiS Corp. has let Zynga publish Eden to Green onto Google Play instead.
Not too long ago we mentioned that Team 17 would be bringing their newest addition to their Worms franchise to Android soon. A few days ago Worms 2: Armageddon appeared on the Google Play store but only for residents of Canada only as a soft of quick soft launch to make sure all was well with their new game. As it turns out it seems that everything is good and now Worms 2: Armageddon is available for everyone to download.
Mode 7, who are the developers or the cult favorite shooter Frozen Snyapse, has announced out of nowhere that an Android version of their popular game will be heading to Android soon. While the original announcement was to let iOS gamers know that the game would be coming to iTunes soon, the tweet containing the announcement also mentioned that Android tablet gamers would be getting a version of their own as well.
Elves Quest, by developer Cellap, is an interesting mobile game that attempts to work like an ARG, or augmented reality game. The world of ARGs is an interesting one because it’s so new and is still being developed and explored. Some games do a much better job of utilizing the real world than others, while most of them tend to basically overlay some gameplay on top of a Google map and that’s it.
Herocraft has released a new game called Strategy & Tactics: World War II onto the Google Play store. This particular game is similar to RISK or Axis & Allies for those of you who have played either board game before. While there is a single-player campaign that comes with this game, the real meat will be its multiplayer game mode.
Two games we have previously reported on that had gone to Kickstarter have successfully been funded. Heroes of Steel RPG by the Trese Brothers and Delver’s Drop by Pixelscopic have both reached their funding goals and both games will be developed and arrive on Android when they are done. Delver’s Drop will also be heading to the Android-powered console OUYA as well when it is released.
Currently available on iOS, and rather popular on top of it, Worms 2: Armageddon has been officially announced by Team17 as heading to Android finally. Players will be commanding their worms, equipped with plenty of weaponry, and dishing out plenty of punishment to their enemies.
When Square Enix announced a brand new Final Fantasy adventure that would be exclusive to smartphones, I was both intrigued and worried. Fortunately, I was not disappointed with this new game, which has been called Final Fantasy Dimensions, and, in fact, have come to really enjoy it.
