OUYA is nearing its official launch date, at least for backers of the rather successful Kickstarter campaign it had, with units slated to ship out on March 28th, 2013 to those who backed the appropriate level to receive an early unit. It appears that plenty of emulators are being worked on for the Android-powered console, most of which are Nintendo-based emulators.

A new application was released a few days ago that will offer up paid games for all you Android gamers out there but for free. Think of it as a “Free Game of the Day” type of service although the offers last a few days instead of just one. It seems the company behind the app, OnaDevice, has made some deals with some pretty big publishers as well because these are not just no-name titles they are offering up for free.

[MWC2013] GameTanium mobile gaming on your TV

Exent is an Israel based company founded in 1992. Their goal is to provide “anytime, anywhere” games. GameTanium will be a subscription based service giving Android devices access to new games each week. The service will also feature content, recommendations rating and trailers. The service will be offered to smart TVs and will enable your device to be used as a controller and you will be able to start a game on the device, move to your TV and then resume playing it on your device when you have to leave.

[MWC2013] Epic Citadel shown off running on Intel’s Z2580 dual-core Atom chip

For whatever particular reason Epic Games has decided to release a new video showing off Epic Citadel on Android but this time on Intel’s Z2580 dual-core Atom processor. Recently release onto Google Play, Epic Citadel is basically an interactive tech demo where users can move around and explore some of the areas in the universe where the Infinity Blade series takes place, this mostly being a castle and the town inside the walls of said castle.

Socketeq, a Beijing based start-up company, has put together a system called WindowsAndroid that takes the Android OS and lets it run naively (unlike Bluestacks which only emulates Android) on the Windows kernel (Vista, Window 7 or Windows 8) instead of Linux.
