Lost Souls Review: A familiar trip through a beautiful landscape

Let’s be honest, OK? If you’ve played one of these casual, hidden-item, Big Fish-style games you’ve really played them all. Well, sort of. While I’ve become very good at pointing out how many titles repeat the same designs over and over, and how this repetition has begun to wear even my battle-hardened gamer senses down, I still keep in mind that some genres will always be what they are… that’s what makes them genres. Sci-fi will probably always have spaceships and robots, Westerns will have cowboys on horseback and fantasy will keep it up with swords, dragons or orcs. It’s just how it is a lot of the time.

Humble Bundle 4 for Android has arrived featuring Walking Mars and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP

Its time for another Humble Bundle for Android, this one being the fourth one so far which we reported on coming this week a few days ago. When we originally posted about this new Humble Bundle, it was slated for release on November 6th, 2012 but since it was revealed it would be coming on that day along with the Walking Mars game, perhaps the crew over there decided to postpone it for a couple of days to throw everyone off. Either way, the Humble Bundle 4 is now here.

Bridge Captain by Square Particle Corp is here to tide you over till Star Command is out

For those of us looking forward to getting our hands on the upcoming action-sim game from War Drum Studios called Star Command when it is finally released onto Android, we may need something to fill the void in while we are waiting. While not exactly on the same level as Star Command is, there does happen to be a neat little space themed retro game which does give off the same sort of feel that Star Command accomplishes called Bridge Captain by Square Particle Corp.

Action Adventure game Bloom hits up Kickstarter, will be for OUYA when the console arrives

A new Action Adventure game has hit up Kickstarter in the hopes of getting funding to help get completed. Developed by Studio Fawn, Bloom is  great looking Unity3D built action adventure game with RPG elements layered onto it for a little extra depth. Currently Bloom is slated for release on PC, Mac and Xbox but when OUYA arrives it will be made available for that console as well since it is being made with Unity3D which allows the developers to launch the game on multiple platforms with very little effort or change.

Humble Bundle looks to be coming this month and will feature Walking Mars

Usually we don’t get to have advance notice on when the next Humble Bundle is going to be but it seems like there is a bit of an exception to the rule for the next one. This is all thanks to the developer of an iOS game called Walking Mars who has stated on his website that his game will be coming to Android, PC, Mac and Linux this month as part of the upcoming Humble Bundle for Android.

Shadowgate creators hit up Kickstarter to re-imagine their hit classic first-person adventure game

The creators of the classic first-person adventure game called Shadowgate have gone over to Kickstarter to bring a new re-imagined and revamped version out to the world and this new version will be made available on a variety of platforms including Android tablets. This inclusion of Android tablets as one of the supported platforms isn’t a stretch goal either, which is something that happens with a decent amount of these Kickstarter project. Instead, it will be released onto Android tablets when the game launches.

Kemco’s entire catalog of games on sale for $0.99 for a limited time

Fancy yourself some good old JRPG? Well you’re in luck as mobile RPG developers Kemco Games is having a week long sale starting today through Sunday (10/22 -10/28). If you’re unfamiliar with the Japanese based devs, Kemco regularly churns out turn based RPGs and most of their tittles, like Eve of Genesis and Symphony of Eternity have met with some positive reactions from hardcore RPG fans.
