Nvidia is pushing out a new update for their Shield Android TV console which brings with it a lot of requested enhancements, fixes, and upgrades to various aspects of their OS and software. Depending on what you use your Shield console for, this update is a much welcomed improvement overall.
Continuing where the original first-person-shooter Dead Effect left off, players begin the game on ESS Meridian. Players are still trying to discover what exactly the evil is that is attempting to enslave your mind and will, according to the press release, be “Facing monsters more dangerous than creepy undead zombies…..”

As most of our readers are already aware, yesterday was the first day for Google’s annual developer conference. While many cool and exciting features were previewed for the upcoming “M” release, there were very few announcements that would impact gaming, save for the new version of Cardboard and for the new Shield set top box. For those of you who have been a loyal fan of Nvidia for awhile, especially since the announcement back during GDC 2015 about the Nvidia Shield Android TV console, there is some extremely awesome news today which you might have already seen in your email’s inbox. Nvidia has sent out an email to everyone who signed up for their Shield console newsletter to keep up-to-date with Shield console news. Since the Nvidia Shield Android TV is almost upon us, and with lots of us being happy that the 500GB model is actually a real thing, we figured that we would list ten games that will be making the jump from PC/Consolel to the Shield Android TV console, many of which should be available at launch. Some of these games are currently available for the Shield tablet and portable already. Most of these games also made a brief appearance during Nvidia’s GDC 2015 press conference as well.
After what looked like an attempt at teasing/intentionally leaking something, Nvidia has finally gotten around to owning the fact that they’re going to be selling an Android TV device with 500 GB of storage, and will also be utilizing their new (smoking fast) X1 processor.
Back during CES 2015 we got to check our Razer’s upcoming set top box called ForgeTV as well as the peripherals that it will be supporting. Since then Razer has been working to get this new set top box into consumer’s hands as soon as possible and it looks like that will be happening soon as pre-orders have appeared on Amazon for a Razer ForgeTV bundle.
