Fans of MMORPGs have a new game to look forward to on Android soon called Pocket Guild from indie developers Sad Herring. Unlike other MMORPGs though, this one is a single-player game. How does that work? Mainly by making this game basically an MMORPG simulator of sorts. All of the content you would find in an MMORPG is here, except you’re the only actual real live player in the game.

[UPDATE: Game Released] Adventures of Mana from Square Enix will be landing on Android this Thursday
Square Enix has been talking about release a remake for the original Mana game throughout the later part of last year on and off. Depending on where you live, you’ll know this game under a different name, such as with North America it is known as Final Fantasy Adventure. Well Square Enix released a new teaser trailer for this game the other day along with the news that it will be launching worldwide this Thursday.
Nintendo releases an official timeline for their first mobile app, Miitomo. Pre-registration begins in two weeks.
Miitomo, Nintendo’s upcoming “social toy” of an app, now has a timeline for release that is official. For those unaware of what Miitomo is, and missed our previous articles about it, this is essentially a Tomodachi style of game but using Miis (The Nintendo Wii/Wii U avatars). Per Nintendo’s announcement today, prospective players can soon pre-register for their Miitomo account, beginning on February 17th.

Etter Studios has announced today that their award-winning collaborative physics game Dreii will finally be launching onto multiple platforms next month. This particular game is actually pretty interesting because you have the option to team up with other players in real-time in order to try and help each other solve the stage you’re on and progress through the game.
A lot of owners of the original Nvidia Shield tablets were happy yesterday when we reported that the much awaited Marshmallow update had started to roll out for a majority of those devices. Well today Nvidia has pulled that update due to apparent Wi-Fi issues because of a bug arriving with that update.
Blizzard has announced today that they have some interesting changes heading to Hearthstone in the near future. One of the changes is actually something many Hearthstone players have been wanting, which is more deck slots. Mobile gaming is by its very definition playing games while on the go. However, the entire platform has progressed to the point where you can sit at home playng your favorite mobile games for hours, playing them on your Android TV set-top box/console of choice, streaming on Twitch, and even eSports competitions. So with that evolution it should be no surprise that other aspects of the traditional gaming platforms are also making their way into the world of mobile gaming.
Earlier this month Webzen announced that their mobile MMORPG called MU: Origin would be getting a Western release in the near future and that they were going to start beta testing the game for the West. Well the first closed beta was held last week, ending very early this morning. We were fortunate enough to be a part of that closed beta, letting us go hands on with the upcoming Western version of MU: Origin.
[Update: Game Released] OrangePixel’s highly anticipated Space Grunts game will finally be unleashed onto mobile this week
Our friends over at OrangePixel have announced today over Twitter that their highly anticipated game called Space Grunts will finally be getting released onto mobile. We’ve actually been following the development of Space Grunts since it was originally announce back in the earlier part of 2015. It actually was just released onto Steam a couple of weeks ago and has been doing pretty good already.
Earlier this month Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy IX would be heading to mobile devices this year. Since that announcement there hasn’t been too much in the way of details about what exactly would be arriving in the mobile version. It’s a safe bet, however, that all of the content should make it into this version, it was mentioned that the graphics would be getting an upgrade and the ATB system will remain intact.
