A couple of weeks ago Gameloft finally released a teaser trailer for their upcoming Team Fortress 2 / Battlefield Heroes influenced game called Blitz Brigade. Now Gameloft has released a new gameplay video showcasing the game’s cartoon characters shooting each other in face.

We’ve talked a lot about nVidia’s upcoming handheld gaming system Project Shield already which sports a Tegra 4 chipset and will be running the latest version of Android when it’s released. We’ve also mentioned there is a separate UI which is focused on gaming where you can play games you’ve purchased on Google Play, Tegra-optimized games from Tegra Zone or PC games streamed from your PC to your Project Shield unit.
Craneballs Studios has a sequel on the way for their gun saturated FPS game Overkill. Appropriately named Overkill 2, this sequel will once again come with a ridiculous amount of weapons to play around with and customize in order to properly take out your enemies with. However, if you want to get a head start with Overkill 2, there is a way you can nab yourself a free gun.
During CES 2013 and nVidia’s press conference, one of the games demoed on their upcoming Project Shield Android handheld gaming system was the Mech themed MMOFPS game Hawken by Adhesive Games. Well the two companies have teamed up once again only this time it isn’t to demo Hawken playing on Project Shield like before but instead to tease us a little more by releasing a Hawken Live Wallpaper.
So one of the games on that ‘list’ of titles coming from Gameloft this year is a game called Blitz Brigade. This is their take on the Team Fortress 2 / Battlefield Heroes games and features similar visuals found in Team Fortress 2. This title has a lot of potential to be quite good as long as it is balanced well.
A new first-person shooter has arrived on Google Play but you won’t be running around with an AK-47 and shooting other people in this game. Instead you’ll be taking the fight to space in Gunner Free Space Defender and utilizing a rather mean looking turret you will be blasting all of the enemies that you can out of space while protecting friendly ships.
If you follow PC gaming in any sort of fashion then you should be familiar with a couple of games that sport the open-world survival theme that go by the name of DayZ and WarZ. While these two games are MMOs, there is a game that was recently released onto Google Play that follows a similar theme called PlagueZ.
For those of you who don’t own enough zombie games already you will be happy to know there is another one now available on Google Play called In Darkness. Developed by SimpleGamesStudio, this new zombie game is set in a first-person perspective but it isn’t just about mowing down as many zombies as you can.
2012 saw lots of fantastic games arriving on Android, and as such in terms of gaming Android enjoyed a healthy growth. Some of them were original ones, while others were ports from other platforms or classic hits. Anyway, I’ve decided to compile my five most disappointing games that came out in 2012. Just a slight note – disappointing here doesn’t necessarily mean that the game isn’t good, but merely that it turned out to be something lesser than what I expected.
We got to see a sneak peek at Madfinger Games’ upcoming sequel Dead Trigger 2 for Tegra 4 devices last night during the nVidia press conference. Well now the developers have released more details about the game which we will surely be getting a hands-on with in the next day or so. If the preview we saw last night was any indications, this isn’t going to be like the Dead Trigger you know right now.
