The folks over at Revolution Software have been raising funds over on Kickstarter for an all new Broken Sword game which will be arriving on multiple platforms including Android. The good news is, the game has been fully funded and then some. Now, with only a little over 3 days to go, Revolution Software has added a new stretch goal which could have one lucky backer being featured in the game itself.
You may or may not remember the original iControlPad game controller which, originally, was designed for iOS devices before branching out and becoming available to Android devices as well. While the idea was great, there was a bit of an issue in terms of design since it used clasps to help attach itself to whatever phone you are using. Considering the huge range of device sizes Android has, you can see how this could be a problem. Well the iControlPad 2 looks to fix this by being completely bluetooth enabled minus the clasps.

The new campaign is for developing and releasing a completely re-imaged version of the classic game Sword of Fargoal for multiple platforms, one of which will be Android if their stretch goal is achieved.

Since it is geared towards these types of games, the hardware for the PlayMG was a bit on the lower end of the spectrum.
Broken Sword – The Serpent’s Curse confirmed for Android, Kickstarter campaign almost fully funded
Last week we talked about the newest addition to the Broken Sword point-and-click adventure game series, called The Serpent’s Curse, and the fact it was up on Kickstarter looking for $400K in funding. It was announced that it would be also coming to mobile devices including Android but there seems to have been a bit of confusion about that fact.
A game that seems to have been in eternal beta status has now gone onto Kickstarter to gain additional funding so that they can finish the game with more features. While the game is currently in a playable beta, there is plenty of work that still needs to be done and the funding is going to bring the team who is working on the game on as full time staff.
A new Kickstarter campaign has been launched for a new product that was inevitably heading our way at some point, especially after the success of the OUYA Android-powered game console. This new product, called the MG, is being developed by PlayMG and is being touted as the first dedicated handheld gaming device powered by Android.
The Broken Sword series of point-and-click adventures games have long been a fan favorite for PC gamers who like that genre. Android gamers were treated to a mobile version of one of the games called Broken Sword: Director’s Cut. Well after a bit of a break, a whole new addition to the series is hopefully on the way and the developers have put up a Kickstarter campaign to grab the funds to finish it.
