There have been rumors of multiple Nexus branded devices heading our way over the next few months from when the Nexus 7 was launched. There have been rumors as to what companies would be making these upcoming Nexus devices with names like Sony and LG be thrown around. Well the LG-E960 looks to be the rumored Nexus device that will be coming from the fine folks over at LG.

While most manufacturers enjoy coming up with cool names for their Android devices, for the most part anyways, Sony seems content in just using letters from the alphabet. Eventually they will run out of letters to use and actually have to think up a name or two. Until then though, Sony has announced a new line of Xperia phones, appropriately named the Xperia V, Xperia J and the flagship phone, the Xperia T.
Yesterday Qualcomm came out with a statement to confirm that their new Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core chip would be arriving in an upcoming LG Android phone. Now we have LG teasing us with a video regarding this same exact phone as well as giving us a bit more information about the hardware.
While we will slide this under the Rumor category of things, it does appear to have some solid ground to stand on in terms of how flaky rumors can be. In this case it appears that Google and Samsung could very well already have another Nexus device in the works, codenamed Superior, which brings a specs bump to the Galaxy Nexus.
A couple of weeks ago we talked about Amazon who not only apparently has an Android phone in the works but a few new tablets as well. As it turns out, Amazon is rumored to have up to six new models of Android tablets gearing up for release including a 10″ model.
Yesterday we reported on ZTE who had been teasing the world for the past week about unveiling an ‘advanced gaming smartphone’ for Android. Today ZTE has unveiled their new Android phone called the Grand X and if this is what an ‘advanced gaming smartphone’ is supposed to be, they should have released it last year.
ZTE is apparently making what they are calling the next ‘advanced Android gaming smartphone’ and we won’t have long to wait before it will be unveiled. In fact, according to reports, this new gaming smartphone will be officially unveiled on July 18th, which is tomorrow.
Amazon looks to be gearing up to jump back into the Android hardware battle but this time offering up a few different Kindle Fire 2 models as well as apparently working on an Android phone as well. While the Kindle Fire 2 release is fairly close according to reports, their apparent Android phone might be awhile.
Today is the day the Samsung Galaxy S III comes to the United States. It’ll be available on all the major carriers eventually, but T-Mobile customers are among the first to purchase the phone.
