klutzGames releases their visually intense retro style arcade shoot Teslapunk onto Ouya

Old school arcade shooter fans who also happen to own an Ouya have a new game they can try out today called Teslapunk. Developed by klutzGames, this new arcade top-down shooter has some rather highly detailed retro visuals and a pretty solid soundtrack to go with it. If the game sounds familiar, it should. Teslapunk has been out on Android over on Google Play for a little while now.

Punch hostile animals in the face with Fist of Awesome, now available for Android, Ouya and GameStick

Back in November of last year we reported on the Kickstater for a game called Fist of Awesome hit up Kickstarter for funding which it eventually got successfully. Since then we’ve watched this game get developed and now it is finally time to enjoy punching random hostile animals in the face as Fist of Awesome is now available on Google Play as well as for Ouya and GameStick.

Arena of Heroes tactical MOBA now on Ouya, a console giveaway ensues

Back in June of this year we mentioned that a rather good looking tactical MOBA game called Arena of Heroes would be making its way to a variety of platforms including Android and Ouya. We the Ouya version of the game is now live and available for download for anyone who owns one of the Android-powered game consoles. To celebrate the launch of the game on Ouya, the developers are also giving away an Ouya as well as a bunch of secondary prizes as well.

More trouble arises for Ouya’s Free The Games funding campaign, another game bites the dust

Two games have already had their issues with Ouya’s Free The Games funding campaign with one being pulled from Kickstarter while the other, which ended up successfully funded, was almost pulled as well. Ouya’s Free The Games program will match developers who have a successful Kickstarter campaign for $50,000 or more as their initial goal. Ouya will then turn around and match whatever their goal was as long as the game developers also agree to a six month exclusivity period for their funded game.

Ouya founder responds to Free the Games Fund controversy. Developer reactions not so good.

So if you’ve been following the news lately then you already have an idea about what is going on regarding Ouya’s Free The Games fund in conjunction with Kickstarter. For those of you not familiar with any of this, basically if a developer Kickstarts a game for Ouya and is successful with the funding, Ouya will match the developer’s goal amount. The only two requirements are that the game in question will be exclusive to Ouya for a set period of time and that the funding goal be at least $50,000.
