Vector Unit has decided to release a video showing off Riptide GP 2 and the game’s multiplayer features. This game will be using Google Play Games services so players can log into their Google account and race against people in their circles. Another interesting point about this video are the devices they are using to show multiplayer.

Earlier this week Nvidia announced that their Android-powered handheld gaming device called Shield would be going up for pre-orders on May 20th, 2013 except for those of you who signed up for the newsletters for Shield update. If you did that you were able to pre-order one at the beginning of the week.
Nvidia officially announced the pre-orders were now live for some folks along with the $350 price and June shipping date only a couple of days ago. The company’s Android-powered handheld gaming device has somehow already made it onto TV but not in a commercial. Instead the device has made a cameo appearance in a sitcom called Modern Family.
Nvidia’s Tegra 4 Android-powered handheld gaming system called Project Shield has finally become a real thing instead of just a demo device seen at conferences and on video. Today the company has announced that pre-orders will begin on May 20th, 2013 with a shipping date happening sometime in late June 2013.

I find the news of High Voltage’s award-winning Wii shooter, The Conduit, coming to the Tegra Zone to be concerning. For a few reasons, actually. Porting Wii games to mobile devices isn’t anything new, but it’s a little worrying in the Conduit’s case.
