Nvidia’s CEO Jen-Hsun Huang was speaking yesterday during their quarterly earnings call and announced the company’s intention to focus on what they call ‘superphones’ when it comes to their Tegra chips. What the company isn’t interested in deal with are mainstream phones and tablets, only the ones that fall into the ‘super’ category.

Two new games by Nvidia are now available for Shield and GRID users – Dead Island and Saints Row: The Third
Nvidia Shield owners who also enjoy playing games through Nvidia’s cloud game streaming service GRID has a couple of additional games to check out and both of them are pretty solid titles. For those of you who are into zombies, you will want to check out Dead Island. If you’re a fan of the Saints Row franchise then you’ll be happy to know that Saints Row: The Third is now available to play.
Last night Nvidia held their CES 2014 press conference and as we mentioned in our lead-up article to this event, Nvidia was going to be bringing some mobile gaming news to the stage. As it turns out the company did just that with the announcement of the Tegra K1 chipset, or as they are calling it, a super chip.
Nvidia’s own Tegra Note 7 tablet has received its first important software update since the tablet was released. This is an OTA update so everyone who happens to own a Tegra Note 7 tablet should start receiving this update today as it has already begun rolling out this morning.

nVidia just announced that they are throwing their weight behind Miracast, a rather interesting wireless display standard that has some nice potential to make Android gaming a little more convenient while at home. In fact they play to build support for Miracast right into upcoming Tegra processors.
The popular PC action-strategy game Demolition Inc by Zeroscale Games is now available for Tegra-based Android devices. This game is all about creating as much destruction and chaos as you possibly can which is always a fun theme to have for a game.
It looks like April is shaping up to be a great month regarding Android gaming in general but also for Tegra-based devices as well Jett Tailfin Racers just came out, Demolition Inc and Dark Meadow are both slated for release this month as well. Now we have another title coming our way this month called Hamilton’s Great Adventure THD.
We have talked about nVidia’s next generation of the Tegra series of chipsets a few times already and now we have a leaked roadmap of when we can expect to see the Tegra 4 to land in Android device. Along with that, we also now know that it will be sporting the same 4-plus-1 quad-core structure with ARM Cortex A15s instead of A9s.
