Choose Your Own Adventure will officially be coming to Android, should they find success on Kickstarter and meet the stretch goal for it, and they are going to be bringing with them their own unique style of Adventure/RPG books. This franchise, which is owned by Chooseco, is similar in style to Fighting Fantasy books and Tin Man Games with their Gamebook Adventures. In fact Choose Your Own Adventure has been around for almost as long as Fighting Fantasy has with regards to their physical books.

Having already been out on iOS for a short period, Square Enix will finally be bringing Deus Ex: The Fall to Android next month. According to a blog post over on the official Deus Ex website, the developers announce support for the iPad 2 before going over a bunch of details regarding that. After all the information there is a quick note at the bottom of the post announcing that the Android version is also on its way finally.
DeNA’s latest big hit game The Drowning has been out on iOS for a short period of time now and while the game itself has received a lot of high praises, the free-to-play the game comes with seems to be a bit of a hot topic of discussion. You may remember us talking about this game when it was first announced back in December of last year where it was officially confirmed for iOS but we hit up Ben Cousins on Twitter to get confirmation that it would also be arriving for Android as well.
While there is the question of whether or not FPS games are any good on mobile devices, the fact remains that there are a decent amount of them available. It’s really a question about the controls, whether touchscreen is good to use for the genre on mobile. Some people swear by using controllers while others are just fine with touchscreen controls. Either way it looks like we may be getting a ported version of Half-Life / Black Mesa on Android soon.
A couple of days ago a game called Nakama was released onto iOS for iPhone users to play. Nakama is a rather cool retro looking side-scrolling arcade game featuring ninjas and the good news about this game is that it will be arriving onto Android courtesy of Crescent Moon Games.
There are already two Anomaly games out on mobile and soon we will be getting a third one as well. Back in February of this year we talked about Anomaly 2, the official sequel to the Anomaly franchise, but back then it was only confirmed for PC release. Having been on Steam for a bit now, 11 Bit Studios has been working on bringing the game to Android and iOS, something they said they wanted to do back in February.
Wizards of the Coast happens to be planning a big event that is supposed to reshape the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms world in its entirety. The company plans to do a variety of things in regards to this but the one thing that is of interest to us Android gamers is the fact that Wizards of the Coast will be bringing an official D&D Forgotten Realms game to mobile.
Yodo1 is a third-party publishing company that specializes in publishing Western smartphone games over in China. The company has announced that it will soon begin publishing select games to a global audience as well instead of their usual publishing destinations and their first game will be arriving mid-September and will be Cavemania from BonusXP.
Pitch Jumper is an upcoming platformer that uses your music for more than just background noise
It seems that integrating music into games on a more interactive level is becoming a rather popular thing to do as of late. Some games have done it very successfully such as Beat Hazard Ultra whose developer recently reported that the game has made over $2.2 million across all the platforms it is available on since the game’s launch. Impressive for a one-man development team. Now we have another game on the way called Pitch Jumper which uses your own music in a pretty unique way.
Red Radiant Media is a game development studio made up of former Crackdown and Bioshock developers and they happen to be gearing up to release a new game soon onto Android called Planet Rush. This particular game is a joint effort between Red Radiant Media and Hunted Cow and is inspired by those old school arcade ‘defend your planet from aliens’ type of game.
