Crescent Moon Games and Chocoarts released their rather enjoyable 3D puzzle-platformer Almightree: The Last Dreamer onto Android back in February 2015. If you are not familiar with this game, essentially the world is shattering and in order to stop this, you will have to take our hero on a journey to get to the Almightree, awaken it, and save the world.
Humble Bundle has launched a new themed bundle today and this time it features all Bulkypix games. However, unlike previous themed Humble Mobile Bundles that feature the three tier system lately, this one is the normal two tier system, which means you pay what you want for some games, or above the average amount for all of them.
Nvidia is pushing out a new update for their Shield Android TV console which brings with it a lot of requested enhancements, fixes, and upgrades to various aspects of their OS and software. Depending on what you use your Shield console for, this update is a much welcomed improvement overall.
Ink Vial Studios in collaboration with Noodlecake Studios releases Brickies. A colorful and fun brick-breaking game.
Noodlecake Studios is almost synonymous with fun game play, when it comes to mobile games. This time around they have teamed up with Ink Vial Studios to bring Brickies to the Google Play Store. I have been enjoying playing Anodia 2 by CLM Games, but Brickies has enough twists and excitement of its own, that I have gladly added it to my library of quick and fun games to play. As the title suggests, this is a brick breaking game, but great design choices elevate it beyond the norm.
Text based games have risen in popularity lately. These days, good games in this genre are not as difficult to find as they used to be. Today, 3 Minute Games has unleashed their latest project, Lifeline. It was released to much acclaim on iOS not too long ago, so it is good to see it arrive for Android devices. If you are ready for a thrilling sci-fi adventure, buckle up and get ready to blast off.
Recoilman is the first game from a new game development studio called Foam Creature which will be arriving onto Android later this year. Apparently Recoilman is almost too macho of a superhero, and that even his moustache alone can get a phone number with barely any effort. He also used to be evil but got sick of corrupted bankers and politicians. He’s a bit confused.
To many, a newly launched system isn’t complete without a great platformer. As Mario and Sonic have proven in their iconic games, nothing can challenge players of every level like a colorful, and surprisingly complex, platformer. Juju fills that niche rather well.
Humble Bundle, known for the name-your-own-price for bundles of games and supporting charity while you’re at it, released Humble Mobile Bundle 13 back on the start of the month. When it started, this bundle had six games and now, a week later, more games have been added to it like usual.
There is a new Oddworld game heading to mobile soon and this new mobile version of Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee is going to be used to basically help with the re-launch of Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee for PC on Steam as well. Square One Games, the folks behind Oddworl: Stranger’s Wrath, will be making the mobile version of Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, which is actually done already. It won’t be released just yet though, not until the revamping of the PC version is almost done.
