Mobage releases Please Stay Calm, a location-based zombie survival MMORPG

Mobage generally releases games onto iOS and Android on a pretty consistent basis. Usually they are pretty decent titles, some are not so good while others are pretty good. Their newest title is called Please Stay Calm and is a location-based zombie survival MMORPG for Android. The story line actually takes place next year, 2014, so all your doomsday people out there, add next year to your calenders for the zombie apocalypse.

Ngmoco to shut down We Rule on March 31st, 2013 for good

Ngmoco has announced that they will be shutting down four of their games permanently. While three of these games are not on Android at all, one of them happens to be on Google Play and has been for quite some time and has between 500,000 and 1 million downloads. That means there is a decent amount of people on Android who play We Rule that will soon lose the realms they have created.

Quietly, Ninja Gaiden invades Android devices but only in Japan right now

Back in August of this year we talked about two games that were coming to the Mobage social gaming platform that we were hoping would make it to the rest of the world and not just Japan. Those games were Ninja Gaiden and Monster Hunter: Massive Hunting, both of which were definitely coming to Android at the time we initially reported on both titles, they happened to be labeled as Japan-only releases for the time being.

DeNA drops some serious cash, buys 20% stake in Rage of Bahamut developer

We’ve seen this happen before with really popular mobile game developers such as Funzio which GREE paid $210 million for after their Crime City game spent months on the top of the Top Grossing games chart on Google Play. Now, DeNA is getting into the action but instead of buying the company outright, they have decided to buy into Cygames, developers of the widely popular action trading card game Rage of Bahamut, taking a 20% stake in the company for 7.4 billion Yen which converts to approximately $92 million USD.

Two new games have arrived for Mobage: Boney the Runner and Monster Mall

ngmoco have released two new games onto their Mobage social gaming platform on Google Play called Boney the Runner and Monster Mall, both of which fit perfectly into the Halloween theme that still is lingering in the air today. However, both games are completely different from each other with Boney the Runner being a running game while Monster Mall happens to be a sort of Tiny Tower type of game but themed around a mall instead, populated with monsters.
