Amazon has release new plug-ins for the Unity3D engine which will allow developers to easily integrate Amazon’s in-app purchasing and Amazon’s GameCircle APIs into games being developed using the Unity engine. While this was possible already, it certainly was a lot harder and took a lot more time to integrate these features into Unity built games that were slated for release onto Amazon’s AppStore.
Up until now the SDK for developers to use when developing their games for the new Playstation Mobile platform has been in beta and basically free. Now Sony has given the SDK the green light and instead of charging an arm and a leg for the SDK, developers are only required to pay an annual fee of $99. This allows developers to publish as many games as they like to the Playstation Mobile platform, both for Android devices and the PS Vita.

If there are not enough new controllers coming out onto the market right now that peak your interest, such as the SteelSeries FREE, MOGA or Nyko controllers, then you’ll be happy to know there is at least one more heading our way coming from a newly announced company called Green Throttle. This company was created by one of the creators of Guitar Heroes and some mobile gaming industry veterans. The goal, however, isn’t just to make a new controller but to turn your Android phone or tablet into a true gaming console.

Now, we finally can get our hands on some as both the Nyko PlayPad and the Nyko PlayPad Pro Tablet controllers are now available for purchase at GameStop.
Everyone loves old school gaming, and thanks in part to the magic of emulation, you can literally carry hundreds of retro games from consoles past right in your pocket. Unfortunately these emulators don’t have much flair in the design department and loading a ROM boils down to a folder browsing experience. Functional but not pretty to look at.Thankfully, developers Jack Patrick and Shouvik Dutta created Gameshelf, an app that catalogs your ROM collections into an aesthetically pleasing interface.

The subscription service is available as an in-app purchase where, for example, if you like a magazine, you could subscribe to it for a monthly fee, usually around $3.99. As of today, Google has rolled out the ability to try a subscription service before buying into it.
