Another Triple-A developer that announced that they would be bringing a game to the Android-powered console Ouya has revealed what game that exactly will be. Portal creator Kim Swift from Airtight Games will be releasing Soul Fjord exclusively onto Ouya soon and now we have the first trailer for this funky new game.

OUYA has come out today with an announcement regarding the content which will be arriving soon for their Android-powered game console. According the to company, they already have around 10,000 developers signed up and working titles for their game console.
Get ready to get used to seeing these sorts of announcement on a regular basis soon as OUYA nears going mainstream with its upcoming retail launch this early Summer. Pre-orders are already shipping out to everyone who pre-order awhile ago through the Android-powered game console’s Kickstarter campaign. Now we get to start announcing games as they become available for your new shiny OUYA console.
While Kickstarter remains the top dog when it comes to crowdfunding, there are a few other sites out there like IndieGoGo that are also fairly popular when it comes to crowdfunding projects. A new one has popped up called GameLaunched and this particular site is dedicated to crowdfunding projects related to video games.
The Mario inspired platformer called The Other Brothers has been a game in the works for some time now, being slated for release onto iOS this week while the Android version is supposed to arrive at some point in the near future. While the game is inspired by the plumber brothers of the Nintendo generation the art is vastly different, featuring a more retro pixel art style to it.
Apple has come out to reveal what could be the direct competitor to the Android-powered gaming consoles out there like the OUYA and GameStick, Officially called the iPlay, Apple is touting this console as the next step in the evolutionary chain of mobile games that will also be able to be played while sitting on your couch at home.
Some more news regarding the Android-powered console OUYA but this time it isn’t about the hardware or anything like that. Instead it is about the games that will be available for people to play when the console begins shipping to the masses. As of last night there are a 104 games already confirmed for OUYA when the console begins shipping to consumers.
For those of you who haven’t pre-ordered an OUYA unit yet and would rather by it at retail, there is now an official date for when the Android-power console will go on sale and that is June 4th, 2013. That is, of course, as long as nothing happens to change that ate before then.
The UK retailer GAME has the Android-powered console available for pre-orders through the company’s website as of this morning. The pre-orders, which currently have no shipping date attached to it, are available for £99 for those of you who want to pre-order one for the first line of shipping for people who didn’t back the console’s Kickstarter campaign.
There are plenty of hybrid games out there that do a good job meshing together two or more standard genres of gaming to form their own little niche in the market. Another Castle by Uncade is about to finish a successful Kickstarter campaign and is a prime example of two genres being meshed together to create something really damn cool.
