Easter weekend is here and a lot of people have today off. This also means one thing… Android games going on sale! So as you can imagine, there are plenty of Android games on sale right now and a lot of them are really good. Handy Games is still going strong with their $0.15 sale, Square Enix has jumped into things by discounting a few Dragons Quest titles, and Disney is celebrating Easter with a bunch of games going on sale as well. That’s not mentioning all the other developers out there discounting their games for this holiday weekend.

[Updated] The April Fool’s Day pranks have begun: Smasung’s Blade Edge Smartphone Knife and Google Maps Pac-Man
Depending on where you are located in the world, today is April Fool’s Day or tomorrow will be. Either way the jokes and pranks have already started and the first two spotted come from Google and Samsung. This certainly isn’t either company’s first year of pranks but this year both are quite entertaining to say the least.
Random Heroes has been a fun little arcade series to play through so far, with a total of two games currently in the franchise right now. Well the third and final chapter in the saga that is Random Heroes will be arriving this week from Noodlecake Games.
Boulder Dash – 30th Anniversary Edition was originally released back in October 2014 as a free-to-play game with IAPs available for additional content that players could buy when they wanted to do so. While the free-to-play version has done well for itself, apparently there was enough people out there who asked for a premium version that Tapstar Interactive listened and now there is a premium version available on Google Play and Amazon’s Appstore.
For anyone that enjoys playing Mega Man, there’s a new game out by Fullscreen Inc that seems to take all the right cues from that franchise. Dubbed as Jump’N’Shoot, the style of play for this game is a platformer that is reminiscent of the classic series, in both appearance and style.
It’s Friday which means the weekend is upon us and this particular weekend is actually a bit more special since everyone here in the USA who are attending classes will be seeing Spring Break starting up next week. This is probably why there is a good amount of games on sale right now. One thing to do when you’re not in school is to play games. This week’s round-up has the 2K Games Spring Sale as part of it as well as HandyGames getting in on the action, discounting multiple titles as well. This certainly isn’t all that is on sale though!
[Update: Globally Released] Square Enix soft launches Final Fantasy: Record Keeper onto Google Play in select regions
Square Enix has begun a soft launch for their upcoming Final Fantasy game called Final Fantasy: Record Keeper. Like most soft launches, this one is specific to certain regions in the world and so far we know that the game is available to folks who live in Canada. If it follows the usual approach game developers use with soft launches, then this game should be available in regions such as Australia and New Zealand, although we have no confirmation on that just yet. Canada, however, is confirmed.
[UPDATE: Game Released] Nitrome’s next game arrives tomorrow, it’s called Silly Sausage in Meat Land featuring you as a wiener dog
If you are a lover of sausages and dogs, or at least wiener dogs anyways, then Nitrome’s next game may be something that you will want to check out when it arrives. Why is that? Because it features you controlling a wiener dog as you work your way through some pretty crazy looking areas in Silly Sausage in Meat Land.
Brought to us by Brotherwise Games, Boss Monster is a dungeon-building game that was originally designed to be played with cards. After a successful campaign on Kickstarter, Boss Monster has now been brought over to Android. Brotherwise Games has partnered up with Plain Concepts (the ones that created Wave Engine) to make this happen. In doing so, they created a straight digital conversion of the tabletop game, so players will be using digital cards to create their dungeons, in the hopes of keeping this version as close to the original as possible, while taking advantage of the CPU speed up the calculations within the game.
Gaboda Games has announced that they will be releasing Electro Rush onto Google Play by the end of this month. So what exactly is Electro Rush? Well we don’t all of the details as to what Electro Rush is and what all will be coming with it, but we do have an idea from what the teaser trailer has shown us.
