An interesting Kerby-esque type of platformer will be heading out way soon called Mr. Wave. Developed by Actos Games, this particular indie title features Mr. Wave who happens to be a living microwave in the land of the Kitchen Republic. One day the president of the republic is kidnapped by the folks over in Gourmet City and it is up to you, playing as Mr. Wave, to rescue him.

Square Enix announces Final Fantasy IV for Android coming in early 2013

Square Enix has gone ahead and given everyone a heads up about when the next Final Fantasy installment would be landing on Android and iOS, most likely in order for everyone to start saving up their pennies so they can afford it. Final Fantasy IV will be arriving on iOS this month while all of us Android gamers will be seeing this next Final Fantasy title arriving on Google Play in early Spring of 2013.

Pier Solar HD’s Kickstarter very successful, Android and OUYA versions in the works

Pier Solar HD is a massive retro-style 16-bit RPG that is actually a revamped version of the original Pier Solar RPG from back in the day. The developers recently took to Kickstarter to fund this new remake for a few platforms, those being Xbox 360, PC, Mac, Linux and the Dreamcast. However, in their stretch goals, the developers had Android and OUYA set at the $175,000 mark. Well their Kickstarter closed at just over $231K meaning both the Android and OUYA versions will be made.

Raiden is a pretty popular side-scrolling shooter amongst the older gamers, and this franchise has now made its way to Android thanks to DotEmu under the guise of Raiden Legacy. You get four games in one neat little package – the original Raiden, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2 and Raiden Fighters Jet. The developers claim that the games have not merely been recreated, but instead enhanced with some new features too.

Massive 16-bit retro RPG called Pier Solar HD reaches Kickstarter goal, could arrive on Android and OUYA

A massive retro-style 16-bit RPG called Pier Solar HD is up on Kickstarter looking for funding to finish the game. Originally designed for the Sega Mega Drive and Genesis as Pier Solar, this new HD version is slated for release on the Xbox 360, PC, Mac, Linux and the Dreamcast. Yes, that is correct, the Dreamcast. So why are we reporting on this? Because the Kickstarter project, which is fully funded, is less than $25,000 away from reaching its stretch goal which would bring Pier Solar HD to Android and OUYA with 5 days left to go.
