Futurlab’s cool looking match-3 game Surge heading to Playstation Mobile on December 19th

A rather crazy looking match-3 puzzle game called Surge is slated to head to the Playstation Mobile store on December 19th, 2012. Developed by Futurlab, Surge is a match-3 puzzle game with a sort of retro flare to it in regards to the glowy visuals. It also isn’t your typical match-3 game where you just move pieces on the playing field until three or more of the same kind are matched up adjacent to each other.

Sony trying to lure indie devs to Playstation Mobile with $99 official SDK offering

Up until now the SDK for developers to use when developing their games for the new Playstation Mobile platform has been in beta and basically free. Now Sony has given the SDK the green light and instead of charging an arm and a leg for the SDK, developers are only required to pay an annual fee of $99. This allows developers to publish as many games as they like to the Playstation Mobile platform, both for Android devices and the PS Vita.

Now, with a new set of photos that showcase a Sony phone with Google labeled on the back instead of ‘with Google’, could this be the second Nexus device that will be hitting the Play store soon?

This is when Sony will be rolling out the worldwide launch of Playstation Mobile for Playstation Certified Android devices and the PS Vita.

ePSXe arrives on Google Play after a long time hiatus, complete with split-screen multiplayer

Back in the days of emulating consoles on your PC, a giant slowly rose from the very bottom to give us a nice and compatible experience in the field of PSX emulation. Almost everyone who used a Playstation had innumerable hours with emulators after that small (or big and squared) piece of hardware got burnt out after so much playing. Now, a well known emulator comes back to life in the form of an Android app, meet ePSXe…again.

[IFA 2012] Sony announces three new Xperia phones, takes more letters from the alphabet

While most manufacturers enjoy coming up with cool names for their Android devices, for the most part anyways, Sony seems content in just using letters from the alphabet. Eventually they will run out of letters to use and actually have to think up a name or two. Until then though, Sony has announced a new line of Xperia phones, appropriately named the Xperia V, Xperia J and the flagship phone, the Xperia T.
